    I can play every game on Xbox One perfectly, except for Overwatch! "Failed to connect to ...


    I have Overwatch for Xbox One. When I try to connect to any part of the game, including the practice range, the loading screen begins, then I am returned immediately to the main menu with the message "failed to connect to servers". This same exact
    thing occurred when I attempted to play the beta a few weeks ago. My internet connection is fine, and I am able to play every other Xbox live game without issue. I contacted my apartment building's internet providers, and I was given this message: "Online
    gaming often requires additional firewall ports to be opened up on the building firewall. The standard ports that allow your gaming console to connect to the likes of Xbox Live or the Playstation Network are already open. If you are experiencing specific in-game
    connectivity issues, please contact the game developer and inquire about what ports & protocols your particular failing connection requires, and email those ports & protocols to us at *** Die E-Mail-Adresse wurde aus Datenschutzgründen entfernt. ***"



    I've searched extensively for answers on blizzard's forums and on reddit, and I have been unable to find a solution thus far. Thanks for you help.

    *Do a Hard reset? (Hold the white power button on the front of your xbox, even when the light goes out...keep holding it till you hear slight whine and when you hear nothing then let go.)

    Have you tried a fresh re-install? If you do a fresh re-install of Overwatch, I wouldn't play the game until it has finished downloading. Also maybe try saving it on a different hard drive this time?

    Hi Prank1,

    Everything I'm seeing points to this being a network related issue. In addition to being able to connect to Xbox Live servers you will need to connect to Battle.net servers. Please see
    this link     for the steps to test your Battle.net connection. Even if you test ok on your multiplayer connection via Xbox, you sill need to test in your browser for Battle.net. If you find an issue, please relay the needed firewall exceptions to your building
    management.

    It's just difficult to understand why all the other games play perfectly except this one.

    If the console was failing wouldn't we see the same thing happening on other games?

    I prefer being a DPS in most game roles, especially if I can be a ranged magic caster, the one exception is I love playing as Mercy in Overwatch.

    YES! i thought i was the only one . i got kicked off line from xbox while playing bf3 and havent been able to connect for about 4 hours now. the only way i can connect back to xbox live is to use my phone as a mobile hotspot. all the test pass except the
    last one it says xbox live failed but every thing else is working flawless.
