I can not sign into Xbox App on PC. I get gray blank popups, and then it goes to the...

I am using my PC to launch GeForce Now. And no, sadly I was not able to play other Game Pass games via GeForce Now. After I signed in, it said " Just a moment" for a few seconds, and the sign-in popup just went blank white.

The first steps couldn't be completed - my PC tells me that there aren't any available optional updates.

The other steps didn't work. I did follow them, but the problem persists. As I mentioned originally, I really don't think it's a problem with the Gaming Services itself - the same login issue pops up when I try to log in in the Xbox app itself, and in the Windows Account app. The popup shows "Just a Moment", and then goes blank and doesn't load.

1. When you checked the Windows update, did you download and install all available updates, including optional updates?
   
2. Do you use third-party software such as antivirus, antimalware, VPN, firewall, proxy, and PC Optimizer? If so, please try disabling the antimalware and try launching the Xbox app again.
   
3. Can we know what the build of your Windows operating system is? To check, press Windows key + R, type winver and take a screenshot.
   
4. Did you purchase the games or purchase them through the Xbox Game Pass subscription?
   
5. What year did you last play the games?
   
6. Are you a member of Xbox Insider or PC Insider?
   
7. We'd like to ask you about the version of the Xbox app and gaming services. To check this, > select the Xbox app Account picture > Settings > About.
   

In the meantime, we will perform a full system scan. This will scan and recover corrupted system files.

• In the Windows search bar, search for Command Prompt and Run as administrator.
  
• Copy the command one line at a time below it and paste it at the command prompt:

It appears that you are having issue signing in your Microsoft account through the Xbox app due to the application not responding. Let us check on this together and sort this out. Rest assured that we are going to perform some troubleshooting steps to resolve the issue in a timely manner.

Here are the troubleshooting steps that we can suggest helping resolve the issue.

1. Check Xbox status page. If upon checking, there is an ongoing service interruption with Xbox servers, wait until the service is up and running and try signing in your account again. Check the Xbox Status page here: Xbox Status | Xbox Support

2. Make sure Windows is up to date

• Press the Start button on the taskbar, type settings, and then select Settings.
  
• On Windows 10, select Update & Security. On Windows 11, select Windows Update.
  
• On the Windows Update page, select Check for updates to see if any updates are available including optional updates for your device.
  
• Once the updates have downloaded, select Install now to start the installation.
  
• Following installation, we recommend that you restart your device so that the latest updates can take effect.
  

2. Make sure both the Xbox and Gaming Services apps are up to date

• Press the Start button on the taskbar, type store, and open the Microsoft Store app.
  
• Select Library.
  
• Under Updates & downloads, check if there are any updates available for the Xbox app or Gaming Services app. If an update is available, select Update.
  

3. Make sure you are signed in to the Xbox app and the Store with the same account.

> To make sure your permissions for the game can be validated, be sure to sign in to both the Store and the Xbox app using the same account that was used to purchase the game.

4. Uninstall and reinstall Gaming Services

• Select the Search icon on the taskbar, type powershell, right-click on Windows PowerShell, and then select Run as administrator.
  
• In Windows PowerShell, type the following command and press Enter:
  get-appxpackage Microsoft.GamingServices | remove-AppxPackage -allusers
  
• In the same window, type the following command and press Enter:
  start ms-windows-store://pdp/?productid=9MWPM2CQNLHN
  
• Install the app on that page and select Yes when you receive the User Account Control (UAC) prompt.
  
• Restart your device and try to install the game again.
