I can not get two wired MS controllers to work with my xbox 360

I have the same problem with both controllers only seen as Player 1. They are both the black MS Xbox 360 wired controller. I tried all the ports, one at a time, together, on, off etc. Nothing works. I can only use one wireless and one wired if I want
2 players but not 2 wired together. Help! Is there a fix? Otherwise I will return the wired controllers and buy just wireless.

You can use wired a USB keyboard I know that for sure, but as for wireless mostly not. Some wireless dongles will just pull power off the USB for reception and pass the information into the port as if it were a normal wired keyboard while some need software
on the PC or Mac to work properly and won't work on the 360.

The wireless module in the 360 uses a proprietary communication method so only first party MS products work with it and one or two unofficial wireless controllers.

Just Googled "Apple Aluminum wireless keyboard" and it uses Bluetooth so it seems your out of luck getting it to work with your 360.

I can see how this is confusing for you, especially since the official support rep has said to buy the PC branded Xbox 360 wired controller. I can however concur with previous ambassadors response.
You don't need to buy the PC branded controller.
A standard Xbox 360 wired controller will work fine.

The only difference between the two is that the PC branded one comes with a driver disc. However, you don't need this driver disc if your PC is connected to the Internet as the drivers can be downloaded directly from Microsoft

Typically, if you're running either Windows Vista or Windows 7, the driver should download automatically as soon as the controller is connected to the computer. No driver is required to be downloaded for Windows 8, as Xbox 360 controllers are fully
supported by that OS already.

My Xbox wired controller works fine on my PC.

It doesn't really matter if the PC/Laptop has Bluetooth or not though. The user is trying to get the controller to work with a wire, which worked before, and is the same wire I'm using. My PC doesn't have Bluetooth.

I already stated earlier that the Play and charge for the Xbox One also sends data, and it can turn a wireless controller into a wired controller. Only the 360 play and charge is just a charger.

!!!IMPORTANT!!! HI xbox forums, quite interesting - i tried two old (white) wired controllers with the xbox, and they work fine!? i guess the new model black controllers aren't 100% compatable with old xbox 360 models!!!
