I can not download a game on my external drive.

Whenever I attempt to download a game, I can only download it on my C: drive. For example, I went to settings to try to change my download location.

Okay, success. And then I tried to download a game.

My HDD did not show up. Can someone help me?

All of my Microsoft and Xbox games are downloaded on my external drive including the previous Horizon, which is Forza Horizon 4. I changed where new apps are stored when downloaded from the Microsoft store to my external drive but it still wont download Forza Horizon 5 to my external drive. On the Xbox app it wont show my external drive as an option to download to. I am able to download any game from the Microsoft store and Xbox app to my external drive except Forza Horizon 5.

If you uncheck the option "Ask me for install options on every install", does Xbox App automatically download/install the game on the C: drive too? Even when the D: drive is set as the default?

you can download it on a different Xbox to your external drive. If you are referring to downloading it from a PC (i' don't think you can do that)

if you have an external drive-you could just plug that straight into your Xbox and download the game straight to the external.

and one more question, if I logged into my account on another computer and downloaded the game to an external drive and then transferred the game to my computer from the external drive, it wouldn't work either?
