I can not challenge Drivatars

But there are still some things I dont understand:

Why do all the other drivatars basically stick together in an offline race but my friends' drivatar is so much faster?

I only have the problem in offline races where there is no possibility to choose which drivatar can be in the race or not...

Obviously if I do an online race every drivatar is controlled by a real person and not by the A.I.

But as you can see in the pictures my friends' drivatar is 25sec faster than the other A.I. controlled drivatars...so my friends' drivatar completly ignores the difficulty settings in the game, which is the problem I have at the moment.

I'm already enjoying this game more then FM4. The physics are much improved and challenging. Drivatars make single player far more interesting and a challenge. The Xbox One controller's impulse triggers make you feel like you're more connected with the car.
It's amazing.

I know that that's how drivatars are supposed to work but it's annoying and I see it as a real flaw in the game. It's one thing to copy the style of real players but to have significant differences in what sorta times they're getting on the races is a problem.
When you pick a difficulty you expect to get a certain level of challenge but drivatars mess it all up. I can only imagine the frustration of someone who really is a new driver when he/she faces a drivatar that gets the same lap times someone who started racing
games when Need for Speed III was new gets on a casual lazy driving day :| It must be like a mental brick wall at that point lol

I play Forza regularily and hardly have any issues like this. I crank the Drivatars right up and they race smarter and offer a good challenge.

Mind you I do spend a heap of time on Rivals now.

You can turn off custom paint jobs on drivatars,don't think you can actually turn of drivatars though.
