I can not buy a game with a gift card even if I have a balance in my account

You can use pre paid card, credit/debit card or even buy gift card to buy the game with You account balance

Yes, exactly. Can I use the balance in my microsoft account to buy the change of the gamertag or do I have to use a debit or credit card? If the second option is the only one available, can I take the money out of the microsoft balance and back to a gift card? (because you can use a gift card as a payment method)
