I can no longer do anything if I try connecting to Xbox live!

Hi there!

So, after some time of not playing my xbox 360, I decided to switch it on one day. Of course, as expected it wanted to do a system update, so I did the update. After doing the update, I went to login to my account on the xbox but as I was connected to the
internet, the xbox tried logging into xbox live, which was fine, up until the point where i was left looking at the screen with the spinning circle. This screen didn't go away even though in the background, it seemed as if i had logged in fine. When i clicked
the b button to exit, nothing happened and when i clicked the xbox button, the screen just froze. I had to restart the console then.

Since then, I have deleted the account from the console and re-downloaded it again to no avail. The problem still persists. I ran a network test to see what would come up and the console connected to the Xbox live service without any problems, in fact, it's
even downloaded a second system update since then too. So the problem doesn't seem to be with the internet connection itself but I still can't figure it out, please help!!

How to connect to Xbox Live in X1

There is no button or menu to connect!

The system is not connected, I do a network test and it passes, but still is not connected... I can't do anything with the X1 if it's not connected to live!

Is there a way to manually connect to Xbox live in this console?

I was connecting to xbox live just fine until i was suddenly kicked from my party and disconnected from live. Now every time I try to log on I receive the disgusting message shown in the title. Nothing has changed since I was online, so why can i no longer
connect? If this problem continues, I will no longer pay for live services, when i cant even use them.

Things you have tried: Redownloading the profile. re-configuring the network, signing in after a network test as well as when the console has just turned on

Do you have a NAT error? If so, what is your NAT type?: No NAT error and the NAT is open

Is UPnP Enabled?: No

Any Error Codes you encounter: None

Who is your ISP(Internet Service Provider)?: iiNet

Thanks for the extra info. I notice you said that you have one console connected to your router at any given time. Does that mean you have multiple consoles in your household that you connect to the internet via your router?

 

That is correct! I have an Xbox One and a PS3, but I only ever have one turned on at a time and I connect them all via Ethernet, but I use the same Ethernet cable for each console, so I will take it out of one and place it in another

Again, thanks for the extra info! Let's see if having you remove the Xbox Live update from your Xbox 360 hard drive and re-installing it helps the issue at all. To do that, start at your Xbox 360 home:

• Go to 'Settings'
• Navigate to 'System'
• Select 'Storage'
• Do the following button sequence: LB RB X LB RB X

Note that that is a sequence, not a combo, so do each button press separately. If you do it right, it should ask if you want to remove the update. Say yes and reboot and reinstall the update.

I was very hopeful with this advice but unfortunately it hasn't fixed the problem
