    I can hear sound with earphones


    So I have regular earphones for like a phone plugged in my controller, sometimes it'll just buzz with no sound then sometimes it'll work. Most of the time it takes me like 5-10 minutes messing with the settings, turning the xbox/controller on and off,
    and plugging the earphones in and out to get them working. I also so have two controllers and I have to do this with both.

    My old headset worked just fine it's only with this set, but they work perfectly with my phone so idk what the problem is

    Yeah I use them with my phone as well so I plug them in whenever I get on

    I recommend taking a look at the following troubleshooting articles:




    If the problem persists:

    • Try your Xbox One Stereo
      Headset with another device, such as a laptop, to see if the headset is working. If not, the headset will need to be replaced.
    • Try your Headset on another
      controller, if you can. If the headset works on the second controller, try
      updating the first controlleragain.
      If that fails, the controller will need to be replaced. To order a replacement, go to the
      Xbox Online Service Center.

    Try this out and let us know the results.
