i can hear party but not game or anything else

Discus and support i can hear party but not game or anything else in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; i bought a new controller and when i got it i plugged in my headphones that worked with all my old controllers and when i plugged it in i couldn't hear...     i can hear party but not game or anything else


    i bought a new controller and when i got it i plugged in my headphones that worked with all my old controllers and when i plugged it in i couldn't hear the party or the game and then after a minute i could hear the party but not the game so i went to audio
    and the party chat mixer slider wasn't there and i cant fix it

    the headset chat mixer is straight up blocked i cant move it
    and i can only hear parties not gammes or anything else

    I have this exact issue. I purchased an xbox one & turtle beach headset with a cable. Only people can hear me when im in a party, once I try to swap to game chat its like my microphone is muted and noone can hear me however i can hear everyone else.

    I have updated my controller, looked at my audio settings etc etc but cant find anything on here to suggest anything else. It is so frusturating!!

    I probably represent 90% of Xbox One buyers who absolutely loves the system but also looks forward to patching some of the flaws.

    I'm pretty happy with mine too. But they need to fix the chat volume. When I'm in a party with friends, I can barely hear anything even when I have the volume maxed. And if there is anything else going on around me, like for example the sound of hundreds
    of zombies being flattened by a steamroller motorcycle, I can't hear anything at all.

    Hey everyone, just had this problem, tried everything i could think involving resets, controller power cycles, unplugging then replugging the headset- nothing worked.

    But then i plugged in some different headphones and it solved the problem. After the new headphones were plugged in i went back to the original headset and everything was back to normal!
