    I can hear others in Call of Duty, but they can't hear me.


    I’m using an Xbox Series X with an Elite Series 2 controller and Xbox Wireless headphones. While I can hear everyone in the game, I’m unable to participate in the voice chat. Call of Duty recognizes that a microphone is connected, and during the microphone test in the audio settings, it picks up my voice. The speaker icon changes when I speak, and my mic volume is set to the maximum. I'm able to communicate in other games and apps without issue; the problem only occurs in Call of Duty. My mic sensitivity seems fine as well. I’ve tried everything, including clearing the alternate MAC address, but nothing has worked. The strange part is that it worked a few times before stopping, and I made no changes to the settings.

    This was on Xbox with out modifying any settings. However, after trying to see if I was chat banned, I discovered that the issue is that by default, my open mic sensitivity was set to 100, blocking out any and all noise from the mic.

    Clean your console's MAC, restart your internet device for a few minutes, and try again.

    To clean the MAC follow this path

    Settings>general>network settings>advanced settings>alternative MAC address and click clear and restart the console when prompted.

    If the problem persists reset the console to factory defaults, you won't lose anything but you will need to log in with your account again. Email and password are required.

    Follow this path and select reset keeping games and app.

    In 5 to 10 minutes you will finish reconfiguring your console

    To reset the console>

    Settings> System> Console Info> Reset Console

    ***Do not reset your console without having your account email and password.***
