I can hear my Xbox One working through the TV but can't see anything one screen!!!! Please ...

Last night I came home from school because I came down with the flu, I was able to play last night at school but when I hooked my xbox up in my room this morning, the screen stays black (no startup screen or anything), but I can still hear the menu sounds
playing through the TV. I tried doing a hard reset multiple times, unplugged everything and plugged back in, and tried different HDMI ports on my TV and nothing works. Sometimes the TV doesn't even recognize that anything is plugged into the HDMI port and
stays at "NO SIGNAL." Not sure what else to try and I'm sitting around doing nothing without my Xbox, someone please help???

    :)

My tv is HDMI 1080p and when I put the Xbox one display setting to HDMI I can't see the whole screen. I can see the whole screen when I use DVI but then there is no sound. I need help please

Hi, you may be having a HDMI handshake issue, or a mismatched resolution issue. Try the steps in the following link. Specifically, power off xbox by holding power for at least 5 seconds to reset the system. Then turn it back on by holding power and eject
at the same time until you hear the system beep and turn on. This will cause it to boot in 480 resolution but hopefully will give you a picture. Then go to the display setting to set a higher resolution, but I would suggest selecting HDMI instead of AUTO
as this could be what caused the issue.
