Serious mic issue. I can hear everyone else but they can't hear me and the blue circle doesn't light up when I talk. There are no updates and it's only just started happening. Being on with support and they want me to send it back to bloody Germany for a
replacement! Might just buy a turtle beach set but is it a fault hardware or something to do with xbox? Any fixes?

    :)

Can hear friends, but friends can't hear me

When I go into a party I can hear my friends, but they can't hear me. I am not muted and when I checked my NAT type it says it's open. I tested the mic on my computer(both skype and the xbox app), and my phone and it works fine on
there. I also tried all my controllers and none of them are working. I had this problem with two mics the turtle beach xo ones and the Astros A10(which I just got). Any ideas why this is happening and how to fix this problem? Thanks

    Hi The Donkey Fly,

Sorry you're having issues with your Mic. First make sure your mute isn't on. If it's still not detecting your speech at all as support said it's likely a hardware issue and you would need to send it in for repairs and/or buy another headset. That said you
can start another party with yourself to make sure there isn't a connection issue of some kind. If the circle doesn't light up there, then yes it's a mic issue.

    Hope this helps!

  5. You don't say what kind of headset it is but I had the same issue with my Turtle Beach Stealth 500X.

Turns out the USB hub I put between the transmitter and the xbox was the culprit.

When I connected the transmitter directly to the Xbox, whalla.... mic worked again.

    Regards,

    Joe

I can hear my friends but they can't hear me.

    Hi SlinkDinkJay

What model headset is it? I had the Turtle Beach Stealth 700 (gen1) and they decided to stop picking up my mic. Even tried using Bluetooth on my phone and record a memo but got the same result, so I knew it wasn't the console.

Manufacture asked me to reset it using the Audio app on the PC, which I did. It worked for a while but stopped again.

Luckily, I had a three-year warranty, so I returned them and got the Stealth 600 (gen 2).

    Hope that helps.

    Try these steps:

    * Connect your headset to the Turtle Beach Audio Hub to update

Audio Issue - Can't hear friends, they can hear me but I can't hear them

    Hello DavinNJ!

Sorry about your problem. Please check this guide, hope it helps!

If you can hear others in a party or game but they can't hear you, try these solutions.

Solution 1: Make sure your headset is not muted

Check that the orange LED light next to the mute button is not on.

Solution 2: Power cycle your Xbox One console

For help, see How to restart or power cycle your Xbox One console.

Solution 3: Re-associate your controller with your profile

    1. Press the Xbox button  to open the guide.
    2. Select System > Settings > Kinect & devices > Devices & accessories.
    3. Under Assigned to, choose your gamertag.

Solution 4: Verify the NAT type for your network

Network Address Translation (NAT) lets you hide your IP address from devices that are not on your network. For more info about NAT, see the "Current network status" section at Network
    settings on Xbox One
    .

Solution 5: Test your Xbox One Chat Headset

To test the headset, start a party (requires internet connectivity) to test the audio:
    1. Sign in to Xbox Live on your Xbox One console.
    2. Press the Xbox button  to open the guide.
    3. Under Multiplayer, select Start a party. (You don't need to invite anyone for this test.)
    4. Make sure your mic is not muted in party chat.

Note You can use the Y button  on your controller to toggle mute on or off.

    1. Make sure your headset is not muted and that the volume is turned up.
    2. Speak into the microphone. If your headset is working, you’ll see the ring around your gamerpic light up.

If you still can't hear your friends online after you've started a party, but you can hear sound while using in-game chat or another app like Skype, see You
can't switch to party chat on Xbox One
    .

To test your headset on a Windows 10 PC:

    1. Download Skype onto your PC if it’s not already installed.
    2. Turn on your controller and ensure your Xbox button  is lit to indicate it’s turned on.
    3. Connect your headset to your controller.
    4. Select Tools, and then Options. Then, select Audio settings in the General menu to test your microphone and speakers. Make sure you have your Xbox One Chat Headset selected from the dropdown list
      of devices while you’re testing.

Note When you first set up Skype, you'll be prompted to check your sound and video quality.

For more information on testing with Skype, see the Skype article, Troubleshooting issues with
    Skype call quality
    .

    Solution 6: Troubleshoot your connection

Check your connectivity by using the Xbox One Multiplayer Game Solution.

You're answering the wrong question. Others CAN hear you... You CANNOT hear others.

I have that trouble because no one makes a right-handed fightstick so I got to get one custom made. Unfortunately the Brooke model of PCB doesn't have headphone for Xbox One.

I tried plugging into my phone but I can't hear my friend, but he heard me perfectly.

I was using this green and pink adapter with a 3.5 mm y

I came in loud and clear. He didn't.

    Hi Marshall,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Xbox Community. I understand that you're having issues with your audio. To make sure that I can provide accurate information, please let me know the specific model of the headset that you are using.

Also, if your headset is compatible with other devices, please try to connect it just to confirm that it's not a hardware issue.

    Keep me posted. Thank you
