Based on the description, you bought the Xbox 360 from a third-party reseller and use the account provided however forgot the password. Let us see how we can help.

We would like to ask few questions to help us understand the issue better.

1. Is the account that was signed in to Xbox 360 console was your personal Microsoft account?
   
2. Is there an option to reset the password?
   
3. Was the account you are using to sign in to your Xbox 360 was provided by the reseller?
   

To move your things from Xbox 360, all you need to do is sign in to your new Xbox with your Microsoft account. When you do this, your Profile, Account Info, Family relationships, privacy settings and purchases made through the Microsoft Movies and TV app will transferred to your new console.

Right I bought my Xbox years ago from someone on eBay and he gave me the account on it now I want the games off it but don't know the password for the email how do I change it I want to put the games on my Xbox 1

You wont be able to use this account or it's games since it doesn't belong to you.

Even if they seller provided the account willingly its actually against the rules for them to do so and using someone elses account (even with their permission) is against the rules and can result in a ban.

According them no. It is not their own personal account. Its an account that came with the console when they purchased it.

My suggestion is to reset your password.

I have my account on my pc, mobile app, Xbox one, and 360 with no issue to logging in.

I hope you can get access to the 360!
