    I can barely hear my friends yet my game sound works just fine.


    Starting yesterday I could barely hear my friends in a party but the game sound is the same as normal. I was playing with my friends for most of the day and suddenly everyone was incredibly quiet though they could hear me perfectly. I haven't tested game chat but I did do a test where I recorded my voice in a voice message and played it back and I could only just hear my voice.

    My chat mixer has the headset volume max and the headset chat mixer is lenient towards the party side.

    I have checked for updates on both my Xbox and the controllers and I have used 2 different controllers where one has an Xbox headset adapter and the other has the headset plugged straight into the controller and the problem still persists.

    I have used my laptop to check if the headset works by using both an online voice recorder and using the Xbox app on my computer to talk to my friends and it works just fine on that so I don't know what the problem is.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    According to the explanation you have provided, please make sure to follow the following steps in order to fix your issue.

    Please follow the the instructions on both links first:

    Update your Xbox Wireless Controller | Xbox Support

    The next step will be for you to try and use the headset on different controllers and consoles to confirm it is not an issue with the headset itself.

    In case the issue still persists, the next step would be to perform a reset on the console. To do so you will need to follow the steps below to perform a reset on the Xbox :

    Settings > System > Console Info > Reset This Xbox > Reset and Keep my Games and Apps.

    Note =>The "Reset and Keep my Games and Apps" option will not cause losing your games, but please be aware that you need to be completely aware of the email address as well as the password of your account before going for it because it will require you to sign in to the account.

    The last option would be for you to try and request a replacement for your controller from the microsoft website online.

    If nothing from the steps above help you resolve the issue please try to contact the Live Support in case you are the replacement is not successful from your side.

    My friends can’t hear my but I can hear them just fine

    I havent been suspended or banned recently at all but all of a sudden now in a certain party with a specific 3 friends, they cant hear me but my mic is wireless and is picking up sound fine and everything works. Also my other friends all hear me.
    But not these three friends for some reason. Please help me. This is annoying
    This has happened to me before. Sometimes it can be as simple as buying a new mic/headset or it could be in your settings. Did you check if you had every audio settings related with your mic/headset on? If this doesn’t work, I suggest you contact microsoft
