I brought an xbox series x that ended up not being region 4 for dvds

Unfortunately, the region settings for DVD playback on an Xbox Series X are determined by the hardware itself and cannot be changed via software or firmware updates. This means that if your console is not set to region 4 for DVDs, there is no way to change this setting.

However, you may be able to work around this limitation by purchasing DVDs that are encoded for the region your console is set to or by using digital streaming services that do not have regional restrictions.

If you are still within the return period for the console, you may be able to return it to the retailer and exchange it for a console that is set to region 4 for DVDs.

Unfortunately, Microsoft does not open repairs in these cases, and if requested, another console from the same region will be sent.

Maybe/Maybe not. It depends on either the game being Region 0 or having Region 4 coding on it.

The UK is DVD Region coding 2 and Australia is DVD Region 4.

Not sure about region settings for DVD and Blu rays.

They are almost that price here now though and some folks I work with brought back laptops and ended up still paying import tax on them so be careful you get stung

Giving up on warzone brought live brought battle pass still keep getting chucked out randomly discounted this is not my internet either the all things a joke my partner brought series s because could get me a series X for Christmas feel like sending it back let down yet again fix warzone properly please so feud up not getting through my battle pass when getting chucked out at the end of play omg

So I ended up purchasing a new Xbox. I purchased a series S for the time being. I have sold the Series X, before selling the issue still persisted. After buying a new series S the problem no longer is an issue for me. I am still looking to buy a new series X in the near future in hopes of the problem to be resolved. Thank you for you assistance.
