I bought xbox version INSTEAD of PC version online, what can I do?

I just purchased Oxenfree but afterwards I realised that I bought the Xbox version (I do not own an Xbox) when what I really wanted was the PC version. I realise that this mistake is nobody's fault but my own and made out of ignorance as I've never used
the Microsoft Store before (I didn't realise you could buy games for the Xbox on the store). Could you please help?

Redeemed game not showing up on xbox live

There is a Minecraft for both xbox and windows 10. Sounds like you bought the pc version instead of the console version.

because i wasn't able to buy injustice 2 through the Xbox store i did it on the Xbox app on my PC but instead of it buying the Xbox version it purchased the PC version am i able to get the PC version swapped for the Xbox version

You would need to go to Sign in to your Microsoft account to see if you can start a refund there. If not, you would need to contact support and speak to billing. 1-800-4my-xbox if you're in the US/Canada or Contact Us | Xbox Support
Then you would purchase the game again for the correct platform.

I clicked on the first link you gave me but there is no information on how to start a refund. Is this a US/Canada feature only - I am from Australia? I am finding it very frustrating as I seem to be going around in circles trying to find a way to start a
refund/exchange or get in contact with Xbox. Either way, I truly appreciate your quick response, thank-you.

The self-refund feature should be a feature for everyone, but it just rolled out so there are still some issues with it and the game may not be eligible for that option. You'll need to contact support and speak to billing.
