I bought Xbox One S with wrong region. Some questions.

As far as I know there are no more region locks on the Xbox One and its games than there was when it launched.. the only one I know about is that to use the Xbox live store for the region you set, you need a debit credit card & address from the region you
set as the locale (although there are unofficial ways around that)

In my example I'm from Pakistan but use the US locale as we don't get kinect voice command support here and I prefer my games In english.. I can then either switch back to Pakistan as my locale if i want to use the live store or as I found out, I can use
my smartglass app set to Pakistan local to buy what i want dlc in my case, an it i pay in rs and it downloads automatically to my console set to US locale..

so from my experience I can't see that MS has done anything to reinstate region locks on the Xbox One

BluRay movies are also region free. If your country is Xbox live supported then you should still get warranty cover for it.

Dvd movies won't play however as you note.

Games discs and digital downloads should work because they are region free.

The region used on your console is tied to what you have setup in your account.

i do the question because i have problems with my region in some games, i don't wanna spend money for something wrong
