I bought New Xbox 360 !!

Hi guys. I bought New Xbox 360 and i got one game( Borderlands2) , 1 month Bonus Xbox gold membership. And when i redeemed the code , Live said ,,

Something went wrong
Give it another try. If this happens again, let us know by entering the code below at xbox.com/errorhelp so we can investigate... And now what i need to do .. Both codes doesn't work !!!

Areyou trying to play an original xbox gane on your new 360? If so it might not be backwards compatible with the 360 have a look at this link for a list of backwards compatible games

You are not allowed to post personal info like your email address on the forums.

As there is no official 360gb hard drive it sounds like you have a 3rd party hard drive.

You must have an official microsoft hard drive in order to play backwards compatible xbox games.

 

Did you try entering the code on your console? Press the Guide button on the controller and scroll left then choose Redeem Code. Be sure that you are entering the code properly. Sometimes O can be mistaken for 0 and B for 8.

Ok, try one more time on your console and list the 8 digit error code that you receive please.

 

Funny i tried with console and xbox said ,, This code isn't valid. Please enter a valid code,,. But i bought the xbox in store and i got with xbox two games (1 game works) and bonus live gold 1 month.. And this *** doesnt work . I dont now what i need
to do next. I can prove that i have original redeem codes and i got these in store.

 

Ok a not valid code has three possibilities.

1. You accidentally entered the code incorrectly (see my first post)

2. The code was not properly activated at the store

3. The code is for a country outside of what your gamertag is set for. Which country do you live in and which country is your gamertag set for?

 

Where i can edit my gamertag? Sorry im newbie

 

You get one free gamertag name change to make up for not letting you choose one in the first place, but any additional changes are $10 each. You have to use the console to do it though, and instructions are here:
