i bought my friend a game but its region locked

Hello Connor, when it says you bought it on the Xbox App, you bought the game on the Xbox store as a gift for your friend.

Are you both in the UK and the shop you bought from is also in the UK?

Is your friend's account in the UK region or is it in another region?

HI I bought game in Denmark, my region is Denmark so how is possible that game is region locked.

To which region ? why i can bought i game not working in the region where was bought ?

cause the game it is region locked but i bought it from greece and its the greek copy with greek license so do you think i will be able to play it on my xbox one iam asking because it may is also backwards compatible region lock and some games may differ from country to country

I understand but at the same time that's why I bought an xbox. I wouldn't buy the game if they incorporated a region lock.

if it is region locked content like blackops or halo games

then regardless if you have someone use your account

you are still outside the region and still cannot download region locked content

they tend to fail at 99% when the content checks your region

if you mean i can get my friend to enter billing info for subscriptions and ms points sure if you trust them that much



but if you are trying to work around the region lock content

no that won't work

however most DLC is not region locked its depends which game you are trying to download
