I bought Alan Wake years ago, but now when I try to download it, I have to pay

I can download it fine on the Xbox One (since it's backwards compatible), but I can't download it on the 360 or from the browser without paying for it. I'd like to download it on the 360.

I have already tried rebooting my 360 console and I've signed in and out of my MS account on the browser.

Are you just trying to redownload it from the store or you have you tried from your download history?

There is only 1 version, for the 360. It is backwards compatible, so I can download and play it in 360-emulation mode on the One. But I would also like to download it on the 360.

I can do that, but it will take me hours to scroll back that far... usually, I just go to the game and it says "Download again". But for some reason, this one wants me to purchase it.

Hello,

You would need the 360 version to download it onto the Xbox 360 console. I would check to be sure you didn't purchase the Xbox one version. Anything you own will show as owned in the Xbox store so if it's prompting you to purchase the game that means you
don't own this specific version.

check your purchase history to see if you have the 360 version and from there you can send it to download
