Make sure that your son has his own Xbox profile/Microsoft account, Collin.

If I may ask, what is the exact error or issue that you're getting whenever you and your son are trying to play a game both at the same time?

Before..

2 consoles.

Xbox A downstairs. Both accounts 1 paid live. But different games downloaded and paid for different accounts. Example. I downloaded dayz. My son bought bo4..

We could both play bo4 on both consoles at same time both online.

Now it says I don't own the game on my account. And my son can't play online on his console but he can on mine.

This all getting ever so confusing. When it shouldn't be. I'm at the point.. So only way my son can get online and play with me is to buy more xbox live for his console. Only way we can play dayz together is if he buys it a 2nd time.

I bought the game for myself, I allow my son to play. He rarely plays anything online and he has no voice. He's a family gold member, but I unplugged his Xbox cause he really never goes online with it and it messes with my router until I get a new one. He
gets mad when we play together, splitscreen on my Xbox, cause I want to play online, lol. Nothing wrong with allowing your child to do something in your own home, but do it responsibly. Don't make the rest of the world pay for your choices.

I really don't feel EA not letting my son play Madden. He plays football in real life. Whatever. I have a neighbor and his son... We all want to play together, but my son is 10. I have a 3rd open gold I can use but his achievements won't go to his main GT.
Sorry for ranting a lil in the end.

Hmm, i need to check it again. My son told me he can only invite one friend he also plays with on xbox. When this friend invites others they can play together, but my son cannot invite these others.

My console in the front room is set as home on my account with xbox live. I can log in and play but can't play my sons games that he downloaded. On his console. Different account. Unless I log in on his account.

When before we both had access to this game and played together. 1 game 2 consoles.

I goto my sons room. He has no xbox gold and can't play games that I have downloaded and paid for when before we could. He also cant sign into gold and play online unless I pay for gold. For 2nd time.

I find all this very confusing. Surely it should just detect ip and share content without all this confusion.
