I just gave my brother a 1 month gold code so he could download it. He has never had a credit card attached to his account and downloaded ACII fine

There is nothing you can do to redeem the 1 month free without a credit card because after the month of free gold it charges the credit card 9.99, unless the auto renewal was shut off before the free month is up

if i but x box live for $1 will it always charge my credit card $1 every month or will it change to $9.99 a month?

I'm out too. Unless major things change.

1 No DRM or 24 hour check points or disc based games tied to gamer tags.

2 No mandatory Kinect for the Xbox One to operate.

3 No gold to watch Netflix which I already pay for and can watch on anything else free of charge. Why MS has not changed this yet when plenty have complained about this shows they do not care.

4. If I purchase someone a month of Gold I should be able to remove my credit card info from their account immediately. Not after the Gold runs out a month later. I have done paid for the month and should be able to dictate (Not MS) if I want to remove
my credit card info at anytime like on PSN.

In case anyone is wondering I had bought my brother a month of XBL gold online with my debit card because for some reason MS wanted to stop selling one month cards in retail stores. I was unaware that you could not remove credit card info til gold ran out.
I got on the phone with customer service to delete my debit card from his account and they could not help either.

As for Xbox One in it's current state. It is the only console in the history of gaming I actually would like to see fail.

How anyone can support this game console baffles me. Only positive I can find with it is the controller.

I tried that once and I even delete my account then I add it again and didn´t work either. I dont know the exact day my gold is charged but the charge is automatic to my credit card.
