I bought a controller and it is now out of stock cant get a refund

My son bought a controller on friday and it still says the item was pending.I thought it just hasent shipped yet but i go to check and its out of stock.i have been charged and it wont let me get a refund under order history.i just want my controller but
im going to contact Microsoft support tomorrow can i refund my purchase. i get the panepicdemic but it should not let me still buy the items

I had the same thing happened to me with the Cyberpunk 2077 limited edition controller. I was charged and it was showing pending in my purchases history while the item was out of stock. I reached out to Microsoft Support and spoke to an agent, they confirmed
that if I was charged then I will be receiving the controller. That's what exactly happened. I received my controller after 3 days of placing the order.

If you still want to reach out to Support, you can use the virtual agent
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/contactus/ and select from the options related to your purchase then type "talk to a person", it should direct your chat to a Microsoft rep.

Bought it online and they have decided not to stock the item anymore. So I can get a refund, but not a replacement.

I see that game are doing the same offer. I think I'm going to trade some old stuff in tomorrow, I really need a new controller but they have no stock currently.

Spoke to a staff member in a game store today and she said they are getting some big deliveries next week of new stock now they have been bought out.
