    I bought a code in the United States and it does not work in my country


    I went to a store in the United States, I bought a code of 4000 MP (Yes, they still exist) and when I go back to Mexico and change it, it does not accept it and tells me that there has been an error.

    I set my account to united states and i bought a code for 4,200 microsoft points but it did not work so i went back to the store and they told me to change my country to europenian union...Now my question is how can i change my country? Plz help!

    I bought this Redeem code for Xbox Live 12 months but when I tried to redeem It starts asking my correct- United States adresses and stuff; I am not from US but it asks me to input "Correct state and adress" Is there a way to change my account's "Country/Region"

    Hello there,

    Thank you for keeping us updated. That may very well be the issue. Pre paid codes work for the region the code was bought in. For example: If my account is Canadian, but the code I bought was from the United States, then the code would not work for my account.

    In short, your account region must match the pre paid code region.

    But,
    www.xboxgamertag.com/.../AcousticBow3     says my Country is United Kingdom.

    BTW, Microsoft does not support my country (sad story, one of the kinects parts was invented by my country, but MS still refuses to support us all this years)

    If you don't live in the united states the code doesn't work, you can request a rebate where you bought it.

    Hello,

    Your located in Canada, where is your friend located that got this code for you? I'm assuming he's from the United States. If that's the case that code is meant to be used in the United States only, not in another country like Canada. The reason your getting
    "Invalid Code" in this case is because you have a Canadian account. This DLC is not valid for that country. If you wanted to use it, you will need to make a new account in the United States as the region.

    You will need to deal exclusively with the retailer that sent you the code, or
    contact Gearbox Software support    .
