I bought a 15$ giftcard and I can't use it! It asks me for payment method!

Hey , I got a 15$ giftcard to get some DLC and some V-bucks . I can't purchase games or DLC without adding address , phone number , etc. I can't possibly refund a redeem code , so . I can't get anything with my 15$ , I want to get some DLC if there was
a way through microsoft contact or something , tell me in this post .

Did you add the $15 goft card to your microsoft account before you attempted to make the purchases?

Thanks for coming to the forums. You need to add a billing address and that. Also with any backward compatible games you will not be able to use currency on an Xbox one. Go to
Account website and update an address you should be able to purchase things with the currency after that.

Have you tried entering all of your information into your account? Once you do you should be able to redeem the code as long as it's for your region. It would be good for any Xbox One content, Apps, Movies, etc.

Well some purchases require an address on file. This is why you will need to add it on your account. No other people are able to see this information.

I don't want to add my home address and phone number it's too personal! I get DLC packs from my friends now but I still can't get currency , isn't there any way to get V-bucks???
