I better not have a busted "ring of death" xbox

I've been gaming NHL 15 for the past couple days. I was searching through the online market for some new players when I had to step out to take my dog for a walk. I usually come back from the walk and there is usually a message one my nhl saying " you have
lost connection " bla bla bla. My controller was still on cause it was plugged in using the usb cord (rechargeable battery) So I go to back out of the online market and my controller is not responding. The xbox button the b, a, x, etc... non of my buttons
were working. My game wasn't frozen cause I could see the clock countdown for the item i had in the background. I turned off my controller and grabbed my spare to see if this would be the issue. Same problem non of the buttons worked especially the power button.
I turned off my xbox. Turned it back on "xbox on" boom dashboard comes up turn on my controller and same issue the controller is not recognized I tried syncing it I tried unplugging and plugging in my rechargeable usb chord with both controllers again, and
still the *** thing won't recognize my *** controllers. I turned my xbox off once again. Unplugged all cables and re applied. Plugged in my controller and pressed the power button. The Xbox console and Kinect light were both on and I could hear the xbox was
on but now there is no recognition from my xbox to my tv.... There is no HDMI recognition.

I think my xbox is broken. Im furious. Someone please help.
