    I basically have a paper weight....


    First, let me say that I have supported Microsoft for many years. I have owned 2 original Xbox consoles, 3 xbox 360's( due to the red ring of death), and a xbox one console. I had to send off my xbox one console 3 months after I purchased it on Day 1. Then
    I sent it for repairs again 2 weeks later. Needless to say, I was frustrated, but I still had faith in the company. I am beyond disappointed( the nicest way I can put it) now.

    Basically, my xbox one is eating my game discs. The system makes a grinding noise whenever I put a game or blu-ray into the console. I just noticed today, because my advanced warfare game is no longer being read. To my surprise, big cracks and chunks of the
    middle of the disc is gone. So I checked my other six games, and surprise, they all have at least the same cracks in the middle of those disc as well.

    I talked to a service rep and supervisor. Because my xbox is out of warranty( again, it is a day one model that had been sent out TWICE), I'm forced to pay $115 to repair it. Not to repair it AND put it back into warranty. Just a repair. Then I was told
    by the supervisor to contact the manufacturers of the games to see if they could do a replacement on the games....WHY??? Why should I do this if its Microsoft's system that is eating my games?

    I didnt pay $329.99 for my console. I didnt get my console during Christmas, with the price drops. I got it, as a loyal customer to the brand, on DAY ONE. Paid the full $500. And now I'm being told that other than paying about one third of a new console
    now, there is nothing more they can do. Bravo Microsoft. Way to stand by your products. There was no way for any consumer to know that in less than 2 years, your console would be destroying games.

    Funny thing is, the console that I bought on day one came with a broken headset, and 6 months later the controller that came with it broke as well. The left thumb stick is broken. If Microsoft wont stand by their faulty products, then this will be the last
    product I'll purchase from them. I have a $500 console that is now a paper weight, and $420 worth of hard copy games that in some way have been damaged. And they really feel that a loyal customer should feel ok with shelling out another $115 to fix their product.

    I go to play infinite warfare on my xbox one s a couple days ago only to find that my console wont power on. I know that my console is shortly out of warranty but i call microsoft anyway becase the consol has maybe 25 hours of play time on it, is never
    used for movies, tv or apps. Games only! And yet here it sits, completly usless. Microsoft refuses to repair the console unless i pay $150+. I understand that people abuse and neglect their consoles. I also know that the techs can tell if this is the case
    when they look at the console. I even told them that if they received it and saw that it was abused i would pay for the repair. No dice. They refused to stand behind their product without more money. I, like most people cannot afford to go to best buy and
    pay to replace a console after a year of light use. Nor can i afford to pay 2/3rds of the cost of a new one for them to fix what shouldnt have broken. J have been an xbox live customer for years but no longer. Im very disspaointed in the way microsoft handled
    this and cannot afford to pay the high price for their products when the longevity nor customer service is there when something gos wrong. R.I.P Microsoft

    Sorry you have this problem but if your console is out of warranty you have to pay, If you have a Microsoft game there is some sort of replacement can be done but not sure if they would replace them with the console being out of warranty.

  5. I personally would report them to the Better Business Bureau COOOKIEZZZ, because that's just bad business. I have had multiple problems with mine as well. I will Never drop $500 for any system again!!!

    a long time downloading, is that normal?

    Sorry you have this problem but if your console is out of warranty you have to pay, If you have a Microsoft game there is some sort of replacement can be done but not sure if they would replace them with the console being out of warranty.

    I personally would report them to the Better Business Bureau COOOKIEZZZ, because that's just bad business. I have had multiple problems with mine as well. I will Never drop $500 for any system again!!!
