I basically got cheated out of my story mode for red dead redemption 2

When Red Dead Online was in game pass, I decided to download it and try it. I then proceeded to buy the story mode from the menu of the game and thought that it was buying the full game as it should. I played it a lot then eventually deleted it for a bit because I needed some storage and a few days after I deleted it, they took Red Dead Online off game pass. I didn't think much of it until I wanted to redownload story mode just to find out that when I look at the store, when I bought the story mode from the menu where you select the option for story mode and it brings you to the store to buy it, it directs you to a dlc for the story mode, not the full game so now I have a dlc for the story mode bought but to actually redownload and play it again, I either have to pay full price for the game again to be able to download it or I have to wait until Red Dead Online comes out on game pass again. Kind of dumb if you ask me, I mean it should've redirected me to buy the full game not just an add-on for the story mode so now I payed full price for an add on that requires me to pay full price again to redownload it.
