I am wondering if there are any Xbox one controllers that do not have the textured grip.

The newest elite 2 that's a $160 I haven't tried due to price. Is there a texture item you think I could compare it to before spending alot of money and then end up not liking it?

There are two types of grips

Do you mean the one that has the plastic grip? (like the one available on the newer Xbox series X/S controllers)

Or the more soft grips? (available in the Xbox elite 2 controller or some special edition controllers like the 20th anniversary controller)

And, using a controller protector is not an option?

Both, I didn't know there were controller protectors. I will look them up and see if I think they will work. I don't like the back grip or the textured triggers. I cannot go through such a change from smooth to bumpy, without it causing me issues. It is weird I know.

So, in your case I think that the best option is get a controller protector

About the Elite 2 controller grip… to be honest I don’t know how to compare it (but it’s something like soft rubber)
You can purchase it if you want, and if the texture doesn’t work for you. You can return it

I prefer the feel of the controller from the Xbox One S. I prefer the ones with the textured grips.
