I am unable to take any screenshots on my xbox one

Close the Xbox console companion app on your pc.

Its been like this since August of this year at least. I posted a topic here about it

I tried out every suggestion handed to me and nothing. Its obviously a bug with Microsoft and they refuse to acknowledge and address it and instead do the usual "blame the player" routine. This problem has been reported many times here in 2019 and 2018.
I have even found topics about this dating back to 2015.

And Microsoft has done NOTHING to fix this issue.

Try a hard reset of the machine, if not resolved try this:



Ok! Let's go ahead and turn the console off, unplug the power from the back and let it sit for 30 seconds. After 30 seconds, plug it in and turn it on. when we are at the dash, let's go to Settings >
Network > Network settings > Advanced > alternate mac > clear > it'll do another restart

A potential cause of the problem, may be that you're storage of clip/screenshot is full. To deal with this go into your profile and view your clips and click manage clips. Delete the ones you don't want

Most of the time a full shutdown of the console or a simple restart will fix the issue if you leave your console set to instant on. Make sure to do a full shutdown by going to the settings tab then under the general tab click on power mode and start up....click
on full shutdown. If that doesnt work do a hard reset by holding power button in on the console until it powers down. If that doesnt work unplug the console for 30 seconds and restore power. This should correct most issues on the console. I hope this helps
