I am unable to sign into my brand new Xbox One

Same for us. purchased new xbox one and can't get it to boot up at all error code E305 00000001 80073CF6. It was the Santa gift at my house today. We waited 4 hours for a call to be told another person had to call us now have waited 5 hours. please
help as this will be hard to explain why it must be returned!!! Please don't ruin Santa

 

It appears that both XBox live and PSN were victims of a hacker attack today, most likely Lizard Squad. These @sshats did it on purpose on Christmas. This was not the fault of Microsoft or Sony...you can blame self-obsessed geeks with nothing better to
do than trying to ruin thousands of people's Christmas. The FBI is investigating, and hopefully these knuckleheads will get locked up and have a few years to think about what they did.

Again, this has been a tough day for everyone, but should not be confused with there being a problem with the XBox...it's a hacker attack that has rendered the biggest gaming networks on the planet (both MS and Sony) useless today, not a problem with the
machine itself.

 

When it come down to it. its xbox and psn fault they had like u said almost a month to stop it or be ready for it so it want take so long to get back up. this group did this twice in the pass month so they should have known how to stop it by now.

 

Actually this is a problem with Microsoft and not the lizard squad. They knew well in advance this was going to happen and have done nothing. Once again great fail Microsoft. Seriously getting fed up with Microsoft and their bs. I didn't pay money for games,
accessories, and a Xbox one to have service alerts for 2 months straight practically. Your online service is becoming worse then psn anymore

 

DDOS is really hard to stop since it happens from multiple ip addresses at a time. The only way to stop it is to basically ban the offending ips. But they can be easily changed to get around them.
