I am unable to sign into my brand new Xbox One

Okay, let's take this slowly..

I just got my xbox for Christmas. I downloaded my gamertag and what not.. everything was working fine. However, now I cannot sign into my account. When I try I get the following: "We couldn't sign you in. Try again in a few minutes , or check your account
by signing in to account.live.com. sign in: 0x87DD0006".

Now, I have read numerous forums concerning this problem, and this is what I gathered:

- I have tested my internet connection

- I have tried signing in on another account (same problem)

- I have tried a hard reset of the xbox

- I have also checked the server status at xbox.com and all of the servers are up and running

So, if someone could please help me with this problem, it would be greatly appreciated.

i wonder if twitch is causing the sign in error

I agree as well. I was able to sign into xbox one this morning, then I thought I'd try the twitch broadcast feature. Moment I activated my twitch profile to xbox I was unable to sign back into my xbox one profile.

 

Unable to Sync

I am unable to sync my brand new guitar hero live for Xbox one. Any ideas on how to resolve this issue?

 

I'm having the same issue and I've had my Xbox for a few months

 

I am having the exact same issue. Obviously X-box Live has crashed due to all the new users today. This blows.

 

I wonder how long their servers will be down? this sucks.

 

Yep, have a year old Xbox one, did all the troubleshooting, I could sign in after unplugging the Xbox, everything is fine on my side, screen says there is a problem with "Live". No duh

 

I can play offline...just not online

 

Welcome to Xbox. They would like to show their appreciation with an epic fail that could have (and should have) been prevented. Meanwhile, my Playstation is working just fine...

 

Having same prob as Blazingwoodnymph. New to system, new email, pw, etc...plus another gamername is coming up as the only one we can choose, and we have never heard of it before. Any help?

 

how do you just play offline and bypass the delay in the updates that these idiots are apparently experiencing?

Exact same problem. I heard it was fixed but doesn't look like it. I can't play any games and I'm very ***. Any way to fix this?

 

I restarted my xbox and now I can't choose a profile either.

 

Really great how Microsoft and the Xbox Live team couldn't keep a service that paying customers expect to be running up despite having almost 30 days of warning that they would suffer some form of electronic attack.

Such a lack of professionalism from a company that it baffles me.
