    I am unable to load into online Fortnite games?


    Hello!

    I will start by saying that I am not very well versed with computer issues, so I may not describe the issue well.

    I am able to load into the game Fortnite, buy things from the store, and load into private matches, but I get a network connection issue when I try to load into online matches. I have reset the router, uninstalled and reinstalled the game and Epic launcher, and I have reached out to Epic for assistance. I have deleted the client settings file, as has Epic, and that has also not helped me load into games.

    I have also noticed that my computer is EXTREMELY slow when trying to load things on the internet sometimes. It is very inconsistent, but there are times when it takes 5 minutes for my computer to load my class page in Blackboard. I thought this might be a blackboard issue, so I then tried loading Facebook and I had the same issue.

    However, my computer will load me into Valorant matches with no issues. I am able to run Sims 4 and Discord as well.

    My PC Information:

    Processor: 12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-12100F 3.30GHz

    Installed RAM: 16.0 GB (15.8 GB usable)

    I have noticed that you are unable to load to Fortnite online game.

    I would like to try to offer you some suggestions.



    You mentioned that you sometimes even experience slow loading of web pages, which makes us suspect that there might be some anomalies in your network environment.



    So I thought a network related troubleshooting would be a great place to start, here are the steps to refer to:

    Switching network environments:

    sometimes, when even though your internet connection is of good quality, some services are blocked or disabled in your network due to the configuration you can connect your device to your phone hotspot and check if the problem persists, this will be good to check if the problem is occurring in your home network environment.



    If the problem improves significantly, then try resetting your computer's network settings:

    1. Please use the Windows icon key + R key at the same time, in the search box, type CMD, the right mouse button and choose to run as administrator.

    2. In the pop-up command box, enter the following commands in order (each line after the completion of the run enter the next one)

    ipconfig /release

    ipconfig /renew

    ipconfig /flushdns

    ipconfig /registerdns

    netsh int IP reset

    netsh winsock reset

    netsh winhttp reset proxy

    3.Restart your PC.

    Disclaimer: Please save the current data before restarting your computer.



    Change DNS:

    First, open Settings by pressing Windows + I on your keyboard. You can also right-click the Start button and select "Settings" in the menu that appears.

    In Settings, select "Network & Internet" in the sidebar.

    In Network & Internet settings, locate the name of the internet connection you want to change the DNS servers for in the list (such as "Wi-Fi" or "Ethernet") and click it.

    On the properties page for that network connection, choose "Hardware Properties."

    Next, find "DNS Server Assignment" and click the "Edit" button beside it.

    Change it to "8.8.8.8", "8.8.4.4" or "4.2.2.1", "4.2.2.2".

    Restart the computer.

    Not long after posting this question I am now unable to go online and play Black ops or to see my friends gaming avatars.

    My loading screen for for multiplayer on black ops locks up or just spins without loading.

    I am able to play other games in multiplayer though.
