I am unable to install Xbox games on my d drive without them not working

I fixed it, I was downloading games to my D drive, downloading them to my C drive (where Windows is installed) works.

I've tried installing them onto my C and D drives but neither works. My C drive has 68.38 GB and my D drive has 181.53 GB

Ok don't know if this is a related problem but I am now using the Xbox s without external hard drive, I can install my game and all relevant updates however the game crashes, I have closed the game and uninstalled it but as before I am unable to install
any new games. I've tried doing a hard reset but it's not resolved the problem

I just Installed Chorus on D (Which never started) and it didnt start.

I then installed Shipbreakers on D and it didn't worked

Moved Shipbreaker to C and it didn't work(check and repair does nothing btw)

Reinstalled Shipbreaker on C and it worked

MOVED Shipbreaker to D and it still worked?????????????????????????

So the solution is to install the games on your windows drive and move them to other drives. Just never install a game on another drive

Edit: I did the same now with Chorus on drive C(50 gig redownloading yay) and moved it to D, it worked.

Nice job microsoft... whatever you messed up there this needs to be fixed

I'm trying to get this installed for my son and have been going through all the solutions... I have our xbox app set to auto download to the D drive & I am selecting the D drive when I go to install the game through the Minecraft launcher. Is this what you were suggesting? Or am I missing something because it's still not working for us. Thanks if you can help!
