    I am unable to erase the parental passcode.


    i purchased this xbox 360 for my children as a present i have not used one myself so very limited knowledge.

    the seller did not remove the passcode and therefore they can't play games etc. i have looked on youtube and the codes they provide are too long i only have 4 digits to put in. Can anyone give me any advse please.

    i have contacted the seller to ask for his code but he hasn't answered me.

    Forgot Pass Code

    ummm when you recover the gamertag it erases the passcode

    you can set a new passcode by going back to edit profile and set passcode

    My Xbox Live passcode has been forgotten!

    Are you referring to the Xbox LIVE passcode or the Parental Settings passcode? Only the LIVE passcode can be removed by recovering. The parental passcode can only be removed by either knowing the passcode or answering the secret question.

    Parental settings and Netflix

    I tried to setup the parental control on the Netflix account but I am still required to enter the passcode on Xbox so my kids can't watch Netflix content of any kind unless I enter the passcode or give the passcode. Netflix support suggested that I remove
    parental control on Xbox which I think is unacceptable.

    Prince: This is incorrect. Recovering an account will only reset an Xbox LIVE passcode, not the parental passcode.

    Dodge: The only way you can remove a parental passcode is to A) know the passcode, or B) know the answer to the security question.
