I am unable to access my account

Hi Microsoft!

So I have attempted to access an old account multiple times! It is an older Microsoft account from maybe a decade ago that I created using a GMail email address. I don't even know what service I used the email with, but I did have a Skype and Outlook at the time so it could be either of them. Today I realized that my Mojang account is connected to the same GMail account. Now that Mojang are moving their accounts to Microsoft accounts, I am unable to transfer all my info to the email that I want to use, the GMail account. I have tried to access it multiple times over the last decade to no avail. I was told by the password reset system that I can't use the actual GMail account to receive a code, even though it's really a GMail account and not a Microsoft account. I no longer have the phone number attached to the Microsoft account that I made with the GMail address. I tried to access it through giving another email but my request was denied. This is extremely frustrating and I feel like I'm being made to jump through unnecessary hoops just to make sure I can access my Mojang account through the email address I've always used and have access to. I just reset my Mojang password for this account with the same GMail address with no problems.

Can someone please help me access this account? This is the only place I'm able to ask since your customer support is unavailable by phone and it doesn't seem you have any chat options either. I've gone through all the password reset pages available, so please keep in mind that the information on resetting my password isn't working for me.
