    Please help what is error 8015402B... and how do I fix it to finish setting up a Xbox live account

    0x876c0002 error. Cannot pin games or apps

    When I try to pin games or apps to the home screen I get the error 0x876c0002. I am the parent account. My child can pin with his account on the same xbox one. The only advice I have been able to find is to check network connections, do a hard reset on the console, and power cycle my router.

    Is anyone else found a solution to this issue? One thread eluded that it might be that I am using two-step authentication on my xbox live account.

    Thanks in advance. This has been going on since purchase last month. Meaning I have never been able to pin, but my son has.

    I have followed every step from the guide again and still I get code 8015402B.

    Is there anything I can do to prevent to get this fault code? Or am I required to create a new email account (which is not gmail) just for a Xbox live account?

    I get error 8015d02e and when I tried to create new account I got code 8015402b. All test were normal except I got a service alert in Live Status.

    Sorry to hear you are running into this problem. It looks like the error code that you are receiving (8015402B) is just letting you know that the email address that is associated with the Microsoft Account has not been verified.

    Go ahead and follow the links within the support article for "Error 0x8015402B or 8015402b occurs when you create a Microsoft account on Xbox 360."
    This will walk you through what exactly to do to get this resolved.
