    I accidentally chose Xbox LIVE free instead of Gold. How to change it?

    Hello. I need some help with my xbox live membership. I bought 14 months xbox live gold membership in the store, and somehow i managed to choose a free membership, when i wrote the code, and now I can't change it to gold without haven to pay for it. Do you
    know, what I should do? Can I change it to Gold instead? It won't let me use the same code again.

    i got gold membership online but it wont let me change it on my xbox to gold keeps trying to make me pay again whats going on any1 know???

    Can you send us a photo of the full error message that you see when trying to take part in the promotion please? Also, can you let us know where you are seeing the promotion advertised?

    Renewing Gold Status

    Try to renew on the console. Settings > Account > Your Memberships > Xbox Live Gold > Modify membership.

    That is exactly what I have been trying to do and it won't let me. It keeps telling me "You need an Xbox LIVE Gold Membership to play multiplayer games online. Would you like to become a Gold member today?"

    Hey, could you please let us know some more information like what kind of subscription were you on?

    If you are on a silver membership, a free xbox live gold weekend has just passed so if you haven't payed for a xbox live gold membership you won't be able to access that stuff anymore.

    I also tried to go to settings > accounts > Your memberships > modify memberships > xbox live gold . But then it only shows me the regular (paid) 1,3 and 12 months subscriptions. :(
