I am trying to create 5 generic accounts that I can use for our Esports group for Minecraft.

I want to buy 5 Minecraft Java Edition licenses for the High School Esports group, but I don't want to give these licenses to the students directly. I want to assign them to generic accounts that IT controls so we can reassign them when the students leave the group. I am unable to create the accounts because the information is apparently too generic for Microsoft to allow, so I get a message saying it can't create the account because of unusual activity. Is there any solution to this?

Hello Dan, sorry to hear you're having trouble.

This is a difficult question as I'm not entirely sure if you're looking for regular Minecraft or Minecraft Education. For this I think that instead of using the forums you should get in touch with Support via https://support.xbox.com and click on Contact Us or Minecraft Support via https://help.minecraft.net to see what may be available.

I'm kinda in the same boat but I want to create Xbox Live accounts with our school issued Gmail accounts that are sync'd to Azure as well. So students already have a domain email account. We have a lab of 18 computers and I need to make 18 generic Xbox live accounts for them to play Halo in HS eSports league. I have the 18 generic email accounts created for email, epic, steam, battlenet and Origin...I just can't figure out Xbox Live as it states I can't use their school or work accounts. Any suggestions on how to manage that one?

To resolve the issue with your Minecraft account, I recommend contacting Minecraft support directly. They will be able to assist you with any issues related to your account, including multiplayer access. You can reach Minecraft support by visiting their website and submitting a support ticket or by contacting them through their social media channels.

Please follow the steps below to reach out to our live support team:

1. Please use this link: Contact us | Xbox Support
2. Scroll down and look at the lower left side if you can see the page matches the country/region you are currently located.
3. If not, please select the country/region it is showing and select the correct one among the lists.
4. Make sure to use to check the available contact times of the support.
5. Select the "Contact Us" button
6. Select the drop-down menu options that will match your concern.
7. The next window will provide you with support articles based on your request and we recommend reviewing the relevant articles before selecting the "See contact options" button.
8. On the final window, you will be presented with multiple options. We suggest selecting either the "Chat online" or the "Request a call" options to speak with someone. Be sure to provide as much detail as possible.

Regarding the family group, if you are unable to locate the owner or email associated with the group, you may need to create a new family group. You can do this by visiting the Microsoft Family website and following the prompts to create a new group.

To create a new family group on Microsoft, please follow these steps:

Go to the Microsoft Family website and sign in with your Microsoft account.
Click/tap on the Create a family group button.
Enter a name and description for your group and select Create.
To add family members, click the + sign and then enter their email address.
If a family member doesn’t have a Microsoft account, create one for them.
All members of the group need to accept your invitation to the group to access it.

I am afraid there is no other way.

You must change the privacy settings in your account to play on Realms, in order to do that, You have to add your account as Child Account in a

Family Group. You must ask your parents to create a Microsoft account, and use it as Parent Account to create the family group, so you can be added as a child account.

After the family group is created, you can change the privacy settings in your account. following the steps

here.

Try this part; using your own account, go to account.microsoft.com/family and create a new family group. Invite the child account into that family group as a member.

Then you can control all the settings you need.
