I am sending my Xbox One X off for repair/exchange, but i have a disc in the drive!

The device does not have power, which is why i am sending for repair. But i was not able to eject the disc i have in there. Is there anyway to contact service and ask them to retrieve the disc? I feel that this is Microsoft's responsibility. It's a 4K disc
and was in the device when it stopped working.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Xbox One X Loud disc Drive when installing games.

I noticed My Xbox One X ‘s Disc Drive make a very loud sound while games install from disc? Is my Disc Drive faulty? Does anyone else have/has this issue? I don’t really want to send it in for repair and I really don’t want to exchange it at a retailer
for a new one since it’s a project Scorpio edition.

360 scratching my discs and making them unreadable

Sounds like the Disc Drive in the console needs sending in for repair as something is off within the drive.

My original Xbox One X had a faulty fan and made a strange buzzing sound in the back right corner. Following advice from Xbox Support I was told to either exchange the console or send in for repair. I exchanged the console at the retailer and the new one
is almost silent and I think could even be quieter than the Xbox One. My advice would be to speak to Xbox Support and either exchange with retailer or send in for repair.

It actually does. I got the Series X this holiday at $349, and the same disc is working perfectly. I have determined that the Xbox One X disc drive is trying to read Cross Gen discs differently than Xbox One discs. The disc drive on the Series X doesn’t have this issue. You might need a new disc or you might need to send your Series X for maintenance.

Customers with disc drive issues who send their console in for standard exchange repair are not eligible for the free game download, only those who choose the Advanced Exchange. This is so that they can "keep playing" despite having the disc drive issue.
What would it fix if Microsoft gave you a free game download while your controller won't connect? Nothing, that's why they don't do it.
