I am really confused..

I have had the Xbox one for over a year now. I really enjoy it my biggest complaint is the backward compatibility of games. It seems like they are taking forever. So, I was real interested in buying the Xbox one Elite as an upgrade. But now I am confused
because the of the announcement of the Xbox One S. So now I am a bit confused on what to do if anything. It doesn't seem as the Xbox One S comes with the Elite controller but has a different one all together. Then to make matters worse the announcement of
Xbox Scorpio???? So yes I understand Scorpio will inherit games and hardware from X1 but, now I don't even want to upgrade to the Elite. It just seems like the X1 will have such a short run before gamers have to upgrade to the next best thing. Makes you
question what is next and how soon the Scorpio will be obsolete. So yes I am confused because it seems like just a year ago I got my X1 and now I am unsure what to do next.. I think wait

Really confused need help

so recently I was communication banned on my main account so therefore I made a second account to get around the ban because it's so annoying. I contacted a support member through live chat and they told me that if I'm banned on one account it should not
affect the other, but in my case I'm banned on my main AND my second, but I literally just made this account and haven't even talked to anyone yet so how could I get banned?please help me

The texture packs are optional content. It's dlc. You don't have to purchase it.

 

You can buy an elite controller all alone.

First Xbox got a 4 years lifecycle and wasn't supported after Xbox 360 launch.

After Scorpio releases,Xbox one will be supported for a least one or two more years.

Console lifecycle is between 4 and 10 years.

Now,that Xbox games library will be more or less backward compatible, lifecycle doesn't really matter.

 

AS Tzar says you can buy the elite controller alone. My son purchased an elite console on sale and it is the same thing outside the controller really. And since I paid half to buy his current unit off of him he was basically just paying for the elite controller
which he wanted. So, just buy the elite controller if you want one.

Also, do not worry about the Xbox One S unless you plan on using 4k. I really have not seen anybody have controller connection issues because of distance either that I know anyway.

The Scorpio will probably be about $500. And it will, at least for the first year, just upscale games. They will all work on the current model. So unless you need that console for whatever reason just stick to what you have. Scorpio will have VR which
I seriously doubt will run on the current model. But then VR is another cost that is separate from the console equation.

Look at it like this. The Xbox One (PS4 for that matter) will be 4 years old when the Scorpio launches. If the games for the next year after that support the Xbox One current model then that model made it 5 years. That is typical in consoles with the
360/PS3 being more atypical. No way these consoles where making it past 6 years to begin with. These new consoles will have to be the main version within a year of their launch. Nothing wrong with that. And those consoles will have 5-6 years at most before
they see a replacement.

The reason being is that MS (and Sony as well) will leave it up to developers what they want to do. Well, they could target the new hardware and it may lead to games not working on the older hardware. That effectively makes that the end of the current
models lifecycle. I would be on the other side and say this could extend the life of the current model, because it can, but I have some friends in the gaming industry. And they are indicating they want to move on from these underpowered hardware. Stronger
hardware actually makes the work a little easier. I know this first hand. With the Neo and Scorpio it will be easier to get things working without all the issues we are seeing now with frame rate and stuff. Not a big deal because consoles typically last
4-6 years historically. Even if they stay on market longer they are not mainstream or anything.

What i meant,is that our (digital) games library will follow us.

And i won't need to buy Scorpio to play Forza 7,i can play it on Xbox one and later on, buy Scorpio and keep playing Forza 7.

In some way,i can choose (for a limited time) when Xbox one lifecycle will end.

It's not like previous gen when you have to upgrade to play new releases.

Lifecycle matters less than previous generation.

If Windows 10 team does what they said.

Xbox one S cost $299.

If i add $100.

that's $ 399 for a Scorpio.

Hum,i not sure if a stronger harware makes things easier.

I'm pretty sure PC gamers have to download tons of patches as much as console gamers.

Better devs makes things easier.

 

I will go on record stating Project Scorpio will have a M.S.R.P. of $699.98...give or take $699.98.

Spend it on games for the current system. When 4k becomes the normal resolution in my country, it will probably be 2025.
