I am not able to access DLC I purchased

I game share with my brother and he bought Ark survival evolved. I then bought the Add-on Aberration on my account. So now it is not letting me access the Add-on even though I purchased it. How am I supposed to get access to it?

DLC on multiple accounts

It really is that simple, this I know because I am in the same situation. I've purchased DLC for the game on two separate accounts and while the Extras menu on one account doesn't show the DLC which was bought on the other as purchased, it is still able
to access it.

 

Re-Purchase Content? Create NEW License??

I guess you could purchase it again with a different account, but I don't know why you would do that if the original purchasing account is still in good standing (not banned) and you are able to access the DLC via your download history as voteDC suggested.

If you do purchase it with a different account, all accounts on that console should be able to access the DLC.

The Add-on says it is already installed but when I go to play it on the game it says it is not installed. Then I went to uninstall it and re-download it. But when I do that the Add-on downloads in a second and it is 7.6 GB; my internet is not that fast.

Okay, I will try reinstalling the game to see if that works. Thanks for the help.

 

So I reinstalled the game and the same issue is happening. I feel like this is a Microsoft issue and not a Ark issue. Because when it goes to install it instantly installs and it is 7.6 GB, nothing downloads that fast. If I can not find a fix how can I
get my money back because this is ridiculous.

 

Never mind on that, I think I have managed to figure it out myself. I had to uninstall the game and hard restart my Xbox in order for it to download properly.
