I say beyond reasonable doubt that you won't experience the same issues with the Series X. The consoles have gone through numerous upgrades and patches and all initial bugs have been squashed. You'll be getting the best consoles in the market in my opinion.

Yeah I agree with you that it isn't right, it's possible I have the worst luck ever when it comes to electronics.

I know I placed that last one the Xbox One S vertically next to the TV cabinet, it was in shade and there was about 4-5 inches of clearance on that side, the rest faced in to the room, I remember it was summer and the room temp was around 28 Celsius. It was on for around 6 to 6 1/2 hours in total (as there were updates and a game download before I played on it). The overheat seemed to be responsible for killing it, as it crashed allot after it had cooled back down to room temp.

I think I'll risk it and buy a Series X when they become available again (as only the Series S models are showing as stocked right now).

No one can know that.With the amount of consoles made there'll always be some that slip through with a fault,it's the same for any mass produced electronic product.

To have that many different consoles all have overheating issues can't be a coincidence.

I'd have a good look at where your consoles are placed,ventilation etc.To have that many different model xbox's overheat isn't right.

The Xbox Series X|S versions of any game are not compatible with Xbox One consoles. Some of the Xbox One versions of the games are compatible with any Xbox Series X|S console through the backward compatibility feature you may have seen the said information online.

As long as you have the Xbox Series X|S version of the game you should have a next-gen performance for the game.

The Xbox Series X is a next-gen console. The issue can be with the game or the console, or we just need to perform troubleshooting steps.

I would like to clarify, what is the exact issue that you're experiencing with the game? Also, have you tried other Xbox Series X|S game versions to compare the games?
