    At the time live was up & running,no service alert.

    Sounds like it's a problem at your end: meaning it's probably a problem at your end but not 100% definitely a problem at your end.

    You still haven't pointed out where I said if it's working for me then it must be working for everyone!

    Not going to explain it to you anymore.This thread has served it's purpose so i'm done now.

    You can play games offline you know.

    Microsoft are under no obligation to give you anything when xbox live goes down,you agreed to this when you agreed to the ToU.

    The total downtime would amount to about 5 pence anyway.
