    I am having trouble Fallout Shelter not syncing data


    I play Fallout Shelter on a win 10 PC. Since a win 10 update the game loads to syncing data and then just stops no sync. if i minimize game then restore it shows the vault windows with the new vault message but i cant even get the game to start a new vault.
    I contacted Microsoft and they said it was an emerging problem with the app. Microsoft gave me the link to these forums. No forum for Fallout Shelter. when o search for data syncing problems i find a few for Fallout Shelter, but they are 5 months old and
    deal with saved games and switching from one device and another. My problem is with one device, one game, In my search to try to get the game to sync, i ran across a try resetting the game and never found a reset button or link to reset the game so i deleted
    and reloaded the game: still no go. Please help or not

    Never Finishes syncing fallout shelter

    when I open fallout shelter it says syncing data and never stops I've tried reinstalling it but that seems not to work how can I fix this?

    Another update, I have tried to uninstall the game and then reinstall it... no dice.

    The only thing that comes to mind, especially since I have not gotten a "This game is taking a long time to sync..." notification, is that the servers that store whatever online information I need to access are down.

    Can anyone confirm if they can play their copy of Fallout Shelter on the Xbox One?

    So I got it to work finally, here’s what I had to do:

    1. Download Fallout Shelter onto my Windows Laptop

    2. Start the game and save over the downloaded sync file

    3. Shut down my laptop

    4. Turn on my Xbox One

    5. Delete my local save file for Fallout Shelter on my Xbox One

    6. Restart my Xbox One

    7. Launch Fallout Shelter on my Xbox One

    8. After being prompted, select “Sync my latest data.”

    9. Game works.

    Oh, and before Microsoft Support suggests it, I have done the usual procedure related to fixing a data sync issue. That being:

    Disconnect from internet, restart console, sign out of profile, launch game, sign in.

    The largest problem being this game needs the internet to operate for some strange reason, even though I don't have any cloud storage activated.
