  2. Microsoft Solitaire Collection freezing when I enter Calender

    Hi.

    When I enter the Calender of Microsoft Solitaire Collection to see other days than today the game freezes!

    It occurs with all my computers after updating Windows 10 to the latest version. I think 1703?

    It seems Microsoft aimed to avoid obssessive adiction trying to complete all chalenges of the month... I am having the same problem as the other players with microsoft collection. My timing today ... :)

    Are you having the same problem? Is Microsoft aware about the problem?... I mind the problem of freezing... I am having the same problem as the other players with microsoft collection. My timing today ... :)

  3. It just quit working

    I am having the same issue with the same timing. Although initially it was affecting other apps as well like news and weather on Win 8 even the Apps store would not launch, which was really bad as that's were I get redirected to from the Microsoft knowledge
    base online. It was like a bad joke - go to this App to fix the problem but the App does not work which is the problem Seriously??.

    So I shut it down over night and restarted in the AM and I was able to get into the App store where I upgraded to 8.1 This appeared to resolved the start failure issues for almost all my problem apps except the Solitaire collection and CNN. After that I
    tried uninstalling and re installing the Solitaire Collection to no avail, it still does not work. Everything else seams to work OK now but I miss my solitaire app. OK Microsoft please fix this or my next computer is an apple.

    I hope you get a satisfactory answer from them. Microsoft always blames everything else but their own product or equipment. The last time I got a response on this forum from one of them, the individual suggested it was my Internet connection and that I should
    plug a cable in instead of running it wirelessly. Never mind the fact that others had the same problem that day.

    Today, I had problems playing the Solitaire World Tour Events because there were a few of them that would not load results after I completed the challenge. I had to play Expert Challenge #28 three times before it loaded the results. I must have hit the "Retry"
    button 30 times at least before I gave up and selected "Cancel" to try again. The bottom line is that Microsoft's servers weren't up to the task. My Internet is working just fine, but the game kept telling me it had no Internet connection even though my PC
    was interacting with the Internet perfectly in every other way. Of course there is the possibility the problem today was caused by the Windows 10 update which we have no control of since it automatically downloads and installs without the user's permission.
    I didn't even know it would update when I selected restart.

    I am getting a bit tired of this whole process Microsoft puts us through with their products. They have problems, and they expect us to fix it for them.

    I've had the same problem with today's "Pyramid Hard" event. I've had to play 3 separate games 3 times as I received the "..service not available..." message. As others have said you can hit Retry until your finger cramps up and it won't change a thing.
    Meanwhile all of my other Internet connections work fine. In addition if I immediately cancel and then reenter the game 9 times out of 10 it immediately connects and will work as expected. I think something is "broken" with the "Retry" option where it either
    isn't actually trying to initiate a retry or it isn't recognizing there is a connection. Whereas, if you exit and reenter the game it must reset something as it will then immediately connect with the service. I recently intentionally upgraded to Windows 10
    version 1803 and the latest Solitaire version, but I have had this issue prior to the upgrades as well, although not as frequently.

    After more than a month, Microsoft still hasn't fixed their problem with their events. Again I had the same exact problem tonight with one of hard games in tonight's Freecell event.
