    I am having problems playing games on my Windows 8 computer.


    I am having problems playing games on my Windows 8 computer. It says i need to be signed in on my xbox on my computer. The error code message pops up 0xc00d11cd (0x80004005). What does this mean?

    Hi

    I've been having problems with the Games for Windows Live in game, where its not appearing at all. I've bought the game over steam, and it worked before when I had Windows 7. I'm now running Windows 8 on my computer, and at the moment it is not working.

    Anyone know how to fix it?

    Be sure you're posting in the correct forum for issues regarding Windows 8, as this is the Xbox 360 section of the forums. It sounds like your computer is asking you to sign in with the account you use to sign into Xbox Live, is your PC currently connected

    Would seem to be a worldwide issue. Maybe time-stamp issue? They'll get it fixed but is frustrating!!! Seen YouTube vids from all over the world with people having same problems.
    Thanks Martin for sharing what you know, I never stopped to consider that it may be effecting anyone outside of Australia. The closest info I could find was to do with when windows 8 was updated to windows 10 so people who had windows 8 at the time got the same error message as we are receiving now due to version 8 being incompatible with version 10.

    All I have to say is I will be pissed if it's because windows 11 is on it's way and Microsoft are expecting those who have windows 10 computers that are not compatible with windows version 11 to have buy new computers to play their games. my computer is 5 years old so I run the scan to see if my computer was compatible with windows 11, it's not.

    It's so wrong and not a very sustainable or eco friendly option if they force us to have to get rid of perfectly good systems. I am hoping it will be sorted soon and that I don't have to replace my current computer.
