I am having difficulties setting up my Home Xbox to play Mass Effect offline

I have spent the last 45 minutes chatting with a support rep who I believe proposed that I reset my router to get them off the hook. We had tried many things to get my Home Xbox and my account set up as I can't play anything right now without this Xbox being
the home Xbox, and when everything this rep did failed to work with the same result every time; "Your home Xbox settings can't be changed until we connect to the service.", I believe they intentionally cut me off. I was instructed to reset my router but in
doing so the chat ended and left them without having to service me anymore and me having to start over with a new rep. I have gotten nowhere with this problem and spent the hour I had to relax and play the game getting frustrated with the help I was not receiving
and now I have to hope I will have time to come back to this thread in search of answers as I don't have time to speak to another rep today.

It should be obvious that I am not happy with this chain of events but I just wanted to play the game and I'm sorry for coming off so demanding but I don't see why this problem has to be so hard to fix. Anything that anyone can offer to help fix this problem
would be greatly appreciated.

Xbox offline games- games for gold problems

Sounds weird that it only affects the GwG, when you disconnect the console from the internet to play, do you enable the offline setting? Maybe this will have some effect on how the console searches for the license:

You need to connect to live to set the home xbox because a xbox must be designated as the main account source

Also you must update the console this is with every console including ps4

Yes the agent was correct

If you aren't connecting they must solve the Internet issues first

If it is an live connectivity issue where it's best to do it over the phone in case you are reseting therouter

This is best suited for the connecting to xbox live forums not account and billing

What is your isp name

What is your connection type : cable dsl fibre or lte or satilite

Router make and model and modem

What does your speedtest.net test say

If it's a lte connection you must work with your carrier to fix it

Lte connections aren't really supported and is generally too slow for gaming
