Sorry to hear about the error you're experiencing! Just to be sure you run through everything, we have a troubleshooter for that E305 error. Be sure to run through everything
on there. I see you mentioned you tried the Diagnostic Tool, but be sure to continue through all steps on that troubleshooter.

I'm afraid if none of the steps on that page help, your next option would be to set up a repair for your console. To set up an online repair head on over to our Online Service Center and register
your console .

I am getting black screen after update on x360,let set ,unstalled,reinstalled still black screen ????

The console try's to update when I power it up but I get a error. When using OSUDT I get a E101 error.

I'm with you, sort of. Tonight, when I turned my X1 on, it said "update failed" (I have instant on). I was able to easily restart the update and download it. My console restarts and during the install phase, where it's preparing my console, my controller
turned off twice due to no use (I have fresh recharged batteries). This turns my console "off" twice. I turn it back on and the update continues, however, after about 10 minutes after the second controller cutout, it completely stops its steady slow progress
and sits at about and basically freezes for. After another 10+ minutes of no progress, I end up turning the console off and back on, which gets me stuck at the green Xbox loading screen and that's it.

I've tried brick resetting it multiple times, pulling out the Ethernet cord, even a sad attempt at the time consuming Offline System Update Diagnostic Tool really hoping that the new update didn't take, to which I found out it did by getting an error message
to contact Xbox support . My only real hope is to try the OSUDT 2 once it's updated with this Oct. 29th update, as I am NOT resetting this console back to factory default; I've got all the gaming stuff/apps I really care about on my internal HD that I really
don't/can't wipe. What I want to know is when the new OSUDT 2 will be available to have a second chance to redo this update.

what you have said is incorrect the 0xXXXXXXXX string that i posted above is the error code i get when pressing the bumpers and triggers and i am using the incorrect osudt file for my build.my console displays.......

build: 10210.0.amd64fre.xb_rel_launch.131118-1159.......

Update error: 0x800070540, 0x00000000, 0x81050005

based on the build number my console would need OSUDT2 which i have tried loads of times and then i get the E101 81050005 88b050064. the usb stick is a 4gb and has been formatted to ntfs and the OSUDT file was downloaded from the xbox support page. So now
tell i'm doing it wrong......
