Thanks for your post! If you're using a Visa Debit gift card, the store may have some issues processing the order. These payment methods are unable to be used with subscriptions and in addition, will not behave well in the normal store. You could go and
purchase a Microsoft Account currency gift card with your Visa Debit gift card and use that to purchase the game and DLC you're attempting to buy.

As Brad said, request a refund. With that, I would then recommend that you look into purchasing a Xbox gift card FOR HIS COUNTRY for him to purchase it on his account. Again stressing region there, as the gift cards are region specific as well.

No, you will not be able to use your Xbox Gift Card to purchase items from the Microsoft Store online. The Xbox Gift Card can currently only be used to purchase items on the Xbox LIVE marketplace and the Windows Phone store.

If you wish to purchase an extended warranty, you will need to use a payment method like a credit or debit card.

I'm not quite sure why it says "select Microsoft Online stores" maybe that's a feature for the future, but at this point in time you're not able to actually use your Microsoft Account balance on Microsoft.com/Store either. I'll bookmark and confirm this tomorrow
